My name is Soizic and I am the owner of MALAGASY DESIGNS.

I was very blessed to grow up in various French tropical places, and spent a few years on Reunion Island in the Indian ocean as a teenager. That's where I discovered Madagascar's art and craft. Indeed, these two islands are very close geographically and you cannot go to a market in Reunion without being exposed to Malagasy culture. Reunion is a stunning island, which I absolutely recommend visiting by the way!

Like Reunion, Madagascar is a fascinating island, with so many different landscapes, flora and fauna, and its people are really friendly, beautiful and amazingly creative. My parents lived in Madagascar for a few years before I was born, and our house was filled with lovely objects and furniture from there. I added quite a bit to our collection over the years!

I have launched MALAGASY DESIGNS online boutique so I could bring a bit of the Malagasy culture to the UK, which is now my home. I hope you enjoy browsing this website, and if you buy anything, may it bring a bit of sunshine into your life, and in your heart!
